Dear David, I am over all the craziness of the past several years. Boy does it feel good to be free.I dont obsess ort ruminate anymore over it either. I am too busy living in the present moment.
Great Debby! Way to go! Best, david
I dont think I would have found the strength if I didnt talk to you. I wanted to know if obsessing leads to psychosis. My doctor had me so scared by telling me that if I went to work and obsessed and got stressed I could become psychotic. I dont know I obsessed and got stressed after that and never became psychotic
Hi Debby, Thanks for the kind comments. The fear of going crazy is a common symptom of panic attacks as well as OCD / intense anxiety. But this fear is not typically associated with psychosis. This knowledge can be reassuring, but sometimes fairly powerful techniques, like the Experimental Method, can be very helpful so patients can see for themselves with certainty that the fear is not grounded in the truth. Best, david
Dear David, I noticed that when my husband is around I revert back into old behaviours. He is sometimes deragatory, angry, puts me down and not very nice to me. I decided that I am continuing on for myself and I am not letting him bother or affect me. It is the self love that I was talking about
Self-love is so important, but other approaches can also be fantastic when criticized. I have described these in Feeling Good Together. but they are difficult to “get” and implement. Best, david
