Video of the Week: The Thinking Error That Says “It’s All My Fault” (5:44)
What happens when we blame ourselves for something we couldn’t have predicted—or prevented?
In today’s video, I tell you about a young pediatric physician whose life was shattered by her brother’s tragic suicide. Though she had done everything in her power to help him, she told herself: “It’s my fault. I should have known he was suicidal that day. I deserve to die too.”
If you’ve ever blamed yourself, this video might provide you with some much-needed compassion.
Next week: We will kick off a mini-series of videos on the Five Secrets of Effective Communication. Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay tuned!
