Cool Upcoming Events!

Free Mood Training for Teens + David’s Upcoming Intensives + More Live Therapy on the Feeling Good Podcasts

Dear colleague,

There are many exciting upcoming events that might interest you, your colleagues, your patients, or your friends.

First, my esteemed colleague, Jacob Towery, MD, is offering some really neat free intensives for teenagers who are struggling with depression (June 12 – 16, 9 am-4:30 pm) or anxiety  (August 7-  11, 9 am-4:30 pm). What a cool way to spend a part of your summer–learning the secrets of self-esteem and self-confidence!

It is very unusual for highly skilled TEAM-CBT psychiatrist–or ANY mental health professional–to offer free treatment. If you are interested in learning more, click here! But move quickly as there are mandatory orientation sessions prior to the intensives.

If you know of a teenager who is struggling (and so many of them are), what a wonderful gift to make that individual aware of this phenomenal opportunity to learn from an exceptionally talented psychiatrist and teacher who believes, as I do, in “Skills, Not Pills.” This could be a life-changing, or even a life-saving, opportunity for a teenager you love.

Second,  I will be offering my own four-day intensives for mental health professionals again this summer, both in Banff, Canada and in Burlingame, California. These are always my most effective and rewarding training conferences of the year. Here are the details:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: A Four-Day Intensive Training
July 17 – 20, Banff, Canada
For more information, click here
Phone: 604.924.0296  Toll-free: 1.800.456.5424

High Speed, Drug Free Treatment of Depression and Anxiety Disorders–
A Four-Day TEAM-CBT Advanced Intensive
July 31 – August 3, Burlingame, California
For more information, click here
phone: 800-258-8411

If interested, move quickly as the dates are fast approaching and they often sell out, as attendance is limited at both events.

Finally, my inbox has been flooded with notes of intense appreciation for the live therapy with Mark, the physician who felt like a failure as a father, on the Feeling Good Podcast, with requests for more of the same. So Fabrice and I are already planning more live therapy work, so stay tuned!

I deeply apologize for blogging less frequently lately. I’ve been working on my new book, which I’m writing for YOU, and I’m doing some writing on it every day. It is coming along fairly rapidly. But that’s why I’ve had less time for answering questions and blogging, and I apologize! It is not due to any lack of interest in you, but simply the lack of enough hours in the day to keep up with everything these days.

David
